What do you have to consider to wash your hair after a hair transplant?
To begin with, you have to be gentle when you wash your hair. No matter at what stage of the hair transplant you are, if you try to be aggressive it will lead to strong trauma to the scalp. So, make sure that you do not rub or touch the hair with fingernails.
When is the right time to wash your hair after the hair transplant?
With correct timing, it is also important that you do it the correct way. It might be possible that your doctor suggests you wait for few more days. So, always you have to do as your hair transplant surgeon tells you. In most cases, the patients are allowed to wash their hair 2 to 4 days after the surgery or as the individual is healing with the surgery.
When to use the shampoo?
When you begin to wash your hair after the hair transplant, you need to ensure that you look for a paraben-free shampoo and every ingredient present in it should be natural. While you apply shampoo on the hair and wash it, make sure to not touch the hair grafts and you need to be extremely gentle. Once the 13-day count has passed, you can gently massage as it will allow the crusting to shed easily from the hair.

What are the steps to wash the hair after an FUE hair transplant?
Step 1: Spray panthenol – Only on the transplanted hair
Before the hair wash, you have to apply panthenol as it will act as a moisturizer. Make sure that you apply it 40 minutes before the hair wash.
Step 2: Keep the water temperature and pressure okay
Make sure that the grafts do not get under the pressure of water and extreme temperature. In addition, make sure the water is not too hot and keep the pressure normal.
Step 3: Lather the shampoo
On the recipient area, lather some shampoo, and with fingertips, you have to foam it. Touch the grafts vertically for around 15 minutes.
Step 4: Wash the donor area
You can prevent the chances of infection by making sure you rinse the donor area.
Step 5: Use a paper towel to dry it
Once you have washed your hair, it is better that you use a paper towel and avoid the use of a normal towel.
NOTE:
If you try to wash your hair within the initial 5 days of undergoing the surgery then apply the Fucicort antibiotic cream on the donor area.
