2. Treatment Planning and Donor Area Selection

The Turkish Hair Transplant Technique was selected for the procedure.

The donor areas were selected based on the treatment plan:

  • Scalp donor area: Posterior scalp.
  • Additional donor area: Beard hair harvested from the neck region.

The use of both scalp and beard donor hair was incorporated into the treatment plan. Donor hair selection and utilization were based on the patient’s individual characteristics and the planned restoration.

Before surgery, the patient received detailed counselling regarding the procedure, recovery, post-operative care, and expected results.

3. Surgical Procedure

The hair transplant was performed in April 2026.

Approximately 4,000 grafts were transplanted over a period of six hours using the planned Turkish Hair Transplant Technique.

The procedure involved harvesting donor hair from the selected areas and transplanting the grafts into the recipient area according to the surgical plan.

4. Immediate Post-Operative Care

The patient was called to the clinic three days after surgery for a clinical head wash and assessment.

As the patient was travelling internationally, follow-up care was continued through online consultations and communication with the clinic.

This allowed the clinical team to maintain contact with the patient and provide guidance regarding post-operative care during his recovery.

5. Post-Operative Maintenance

During the follow-up period, the patient reported using the following as part of his post-operative regimen:

  • Topical minoxidil 5% solution: Applied to the scalp.
  • Hair vitamins: Taken as part of the post-operative regimen.

The patient remained in contact with the clinic online throughout the follow-up period.

Post-transplant hair growth is a gradual process, and the visible outcome at six months represents an intermediate stage of recovery and hair maturation.

6. Six-Month Follow-Up Results

At the six-month follow-up, clinical photographs were obtained to document the progress following transplantation.

The photographs allow comparison of the patient’s pre-transplant appearance with the immediate post-operative condition and the six-month follow-up.

The six-month photographs provide a visual record of the patient’s progress. The extent of coverage, distribution, hair growth, and overall cosmetic improvement should be assessed directly from the clinical photographs.

Further maturation and changes in hair density may continue beyond the six-month mark.
