    Enquiry Form

Before a decade or two, very few people used to take up plastic surgery for the thighs. But no sooner the looks became a huge matter than the thigh lift surgery in Punjab became popular.

    • What to expect during the thigh lift surgery?

This is an invasive procedure that takes no more than 2 to 3 hours the complete. There are two types of thigh lifts:

    • Medial thigh lift

This category aims at ameliorating the appearance of your thighs by taking into account the internal layers of the thigh.

    • Lateral thigh lift

When we are talking about the lateral thigh lift, then the treatment includes the extraction of the excessive layers of the skin which are the external layer of the thighs.

It is relevant to mention here that your cosmetic surgeon may take either one or both the techniques into account to make the thighs appear good and not sagging.

    • Are the incisions made during the procedure?

Yes, the incisions are made to extract the excessive fat that is causing the thighs to appear saggy. But as soon as the fat is extracted, the incisions are closed with the help of the sutures.

    • Which are the topmost tips for speedy recovery after the procedure?
    • Don’t exert yourself with work

For the first few days after the surgery, it is advised that you should not be resuming your work. I know you can’t sit idle at home. But you can do the little works like:

    • Preparation for the meals
    • Making your bed
    • Ironing the clothes
    • Do dusting
    • Abstain from smoking

Smoking is the one thing that has been known to slow the recovery rate. If you want to recover at a very good rate, then you should not be consuming any of the items that hinder the supply of blood.

    • Say no to all the blood-thinning medications

The medicines like aspirin which contribute heavily to hindering normal blood clotting should be avoided. And yes!! You should not also intake either any anti-inflammatory or non-steroidal medications. If necessary then you should consult with the surgeon, only if he permits, then you can consume.

    • Keep wearing the compression garment

The predominant reason for the late healing among the patients is that they quit wearing the compression garment which is the silliest mistake. You should not be wearing it off unless suggested by the doctor.

    • Light exercise is good

You can take into account doing the exercise which does not exert pressure on the thigh. Your doctor will help you with the list of such exercises.

    • Avoid weight lifting

Weight lifting and other athletic activities should be completely refrained from since these are the activities that put immense pressure on the thighs and your thighs are not ready for it. It should be avoided for a good 6 to 7 weeks.

    Takeaway

You should also be taking care of your diet since it also plays a crucial role in the entire healing process. You should not be eating oily food during the recovery.
